On this #JuneteenthDay, I want to pay a special tribute to my friend, the late former Rep. Al Edwards (D-TX) who was responsible for making Juneteenth a state holiday in Texas. He was a trailblazer & knew how important it was to honor black history. Thank you Al Edwards!
