When scheduling with a former Treasury Secretary, Hoffman was named alongside Epstein -- not as someone Ito brought, but as a co-host. His assistant ran a standing scheduling channel with Epstein's chief of staff for four and a half years -- independently of Ito. The subject line of the email connecting Epstein to Zuckerberg: "Jeffrey Epstein (Hoffman & Thiel Dinner Party)." Not Ito. Hoffman. When Ito described the relationship to a third party, he called Epstein "a good friend of both Reid and me."
